I love scrolling through the journals and reading the few lines shown without clicking on the whole thing. It's amazing just how much can be learned from the few words shown. Just this morning I learned some members are very happy today as things are going their way while others are miserable from mistakes they admit they've made or have a broken heart from a love that's left them. While others are happy that love is finally going their way, for now.



Some are thrilled from personal accomplishments while others speak of the work they're doing to make their dreams come true.



Some write wonderful lines of poetry while others (like me) give it their best shot only to miss the mark. Some list song lyrics that touch them while others write of folks they miss in their lives.



There's such joy, sorry, failure, accomplishment, longing and loneliness as well as excitement and grief to be found that it's like a treasure chest to open and sift through each and every time I click on the Journals link that I just cannot resist it.



Not that I like it when folks are grieving or hurt, that's not my thing but it's interesting to see how some bounce back quickly from their bad experiences while others have to fight much harder to overcome hardships. Says so much for the sameness of human beings no matter our differences.

Today is the 4th of July and I'm old enough to have had many family members who have served in the military of the United States, from WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf War has seen the sweat and blood of my kin. I'm more proud of them than I can ever explain.



So to have a member of this site decide to wage "war" upon the Houses of VR, starting with Umbrae Octo, offends me even as it makes me laugh.



You, with your petty complaints have no heart to wage true war. You will never be the type to bear arms and defend your neighbor or country.



I do not know if you are of an age to have needed to make the choice of entering the service but if you had served in battle you would not toss words like war about so casually.



I laugh because you are online waging your battles. Not too many foxholes needed for that fight.





To all the members who have served or serve now, bless you all and thank you for the freedoms we enjoy including having fun with friends on this website.

Bring your petty war to my shore, I do not care. It''s too funny that you chose a website to prove your manhood by attacking those who have nothing to do with you nor care to, with your silly 1 ratings and nasty comments.



In a world full of of people struggling with illness, to survive financially and to make this place a little bit of fun and a place to meet friends you want to stir up idiocy and cause strife.

I won't tell you to get a life because apparently you have made your real world life so miserable, that you need to use a website to try and fool others into your make believe world wherein you are a great person with friends.



You cannot hurt me with your ratings wars, I have a full life in the real world that is only aided by the great friends I have found here on VR.
